Printing Guidelines

We want your printing experience with Print Buddy to be smooth and hassle-free. To ensure your order is produced exactly how you expect, please take note of the 7 following guidelines before uploading your files.

1. Print Sizes & Finishing

  • Standard Prints (A3, A4, A5, A6 Black&White/Colour and Booklets):
Printed to fit the page size you select while keeping proportions. These prints will include a small white border around the edge. If your file includes trim or registration marks, these will also appear in the final print.
  • Flyers, Brochures, Photographs and Posters:
Printed to the edge of the paper with no white border. Please make sure your design includes at least 3–5mm bleed on all sides. Any trim or registration marks you’ve added will be removed. If no bleed is provided, files will be printed with a white border.
  • Plan Prints (Architectural/Engineering Drawings):
Printed at Actual Size (to scale). For example, if you order A1 size but upload an A4 file, it will be enlarged to A1.

⚠️ Note: Minor paper movement can occur during production, so exact centering down to the millimetre cannot be guaranteed.

2. File order

Files uploaded individually may not always print in sequence. For multi-page jobs, we recommend submitting one PDF file with pages in the correct order.

For double-sided prints, please add one product with both front and back files instead of two separate products.

3. File Resolution & Formats

Always upload your file at high resolution (300 dpi or more) to avoid blurry or pixelated results. We will not be responsible for poor print quality caused by low resolution.

Accepted file formats:

  • Preferred: .pdf
  • Other accepted formats: .doc, .docx, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .ppt, .pptx

💡 Tip: If using Microsoft Word/Publisher, save as PDF to prevent formatting changes caused by different default settings (e.g. US Letter vs A4).

4. Colour Mode

All files should be prepared in CMYK colour mode to ensure your colours look as expected in print.

5. Fonts, Logos & Graphics

Make sure all fonts, logos, symbols, and signatures are embedded in your file. If they’re not embedded, they may appear incorrectly or be missing entirely once printed.

6. File Quality & Errors

Double-check that your quantity and finish type are correct before placing the order. Files that are corrupted, damaged, password-protected, or in unsupported formats cannot be printed.

Refunds will be issued for printing errors caused during production, but we cannot refund misprints caused by faulty files.

7. Responsibility for Artwork

Print Buddy prints exactly what you send us. We do not proofread, edit, or adjust artwork.

Customers are fully responsible for ensuring files are set up correctly, including:

  • Correct size and bleed
  • Correct colours and resolution
  • Correct file type and order
